I am posting from our deck and while it's not as gorgeous as it has been the past 5 days, it's pretty damn nice out. This will be the year of the outdoor room at our house. The stone patio is finally finished. We have an umbrella, there are new chair pads, a gorgeous rug, and fabulous neighbors. Our days commence with the babies waddling their tiny diaper covered hineys around outside whilst we enjoy a glass of wine. It's wonderful to be past the winter, the days of no sun, the seasonal affective disorder. The only downside....I'm now allergic to the sun. Yep, I'm now suffering from Polymorphus light eruption. I get a rash. I'm pretty. Sexy isn't it? Say it with me....p.o.l.y.m.o.r.p.h.u.s. HOT.
Also, Mr. M's contract is up on Friday. That means we will be together full time again! Yay! No money, but YAY! I love him so. Also there is sort of a plan. So fingers crossed we will be fine.
In Psycho Mom news I received a certified letter in the mail when I returned from Easter break. I didn't go to pick it up immediately as it just said from PA. The second notice that came said it was from, get this, Psycho Mom's FATHER'S PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT. Yea, that's just fucked up right there folks. Mr. M went to look at it, couldn't tell if it was something legal or just some letter blathering on about what a whore I am, so he refused it for me and it was returned to sender. We haven't heard anything since then. Psycho Mom was again in contempt of court for not paying Mr. M fees he was owed, hehehe, that's THREE contempts in ONE MONTH, in front of the SAME JUDGE. Think she's getting tired of Supermom? Yea, I think so.
I need another glass of wine.....

This is how much I hate the phone
Between business, home and cell phones we spend almost $500 a month in phone service. This month we have decided to combine as much as possible because we are clearly wasting money. Mr. M asks that I look at my cell phone service to see how much I use so that he can choose the appropriate plan to add me to his service. In one month I have used:
3 minutes of peak time service
39 minutes of off peak service
31 text messages out of 100 available in my plan
And I have paid $50 for this service.
It's pretty clear how much I don't want to talk to you.....

Wipe Out
To celebrate Spring Break, I promised the kids a trip to the local indoor waterpark at Massanutten. My family and I have come to blows over this as I refuse to make the annual trip to Splash Lagoon anymore as it's a 6 hour drive for us and costs about $500 for basically 8 hours. They refuse to come to our home and stay here, because it would cost THEM more to pay for two days at the waterpark here. WAAAHHHH. I got tired of hearing it, so we go by ourselves now and they certainly don't miss us in Erie.
After being sick all weekend, we decided to push the trip back to Tuesday, and we were all glad when we finally arrived. It was actually a pretty nice day out, the sun was shining through the ceiling, making it wonderfully warm inside. I had wanted to get there right at opening so we have a chance of grabbing a table, but that didn't happen, so we found a pole, dropped the bag and headed to the lazy river. As mush as I planned to keep the hair somewhat arranged and the makeup hiding the fact that I looked like death warmed over, I was of course immediately positioned under the water falls. Fabulous.
We then headed over to the main area to check out all the slides. I wasn't immediately impressed, but the kids went on a few while I looked around some more. Honestly, Splash Lagoon is better. It's bigger, it has more tubes and slides that are interesting to adults, the large pool is great for the whole family, and I loved the baby/toddler area. Massanutten was much smaller and not as well delineated. The pool was tiny, and connected to the river, the baby area was tiny and really separated from the toddler slides. The kids hot tub was nice and I think I would like it during the summer as it has an outside portion as well, and I never made it to the adult tub as it was hidden and I didn't want to leave the kids that long.
One thing we LOVED, was the wave rider. Totally awesome. The Prince was cold as he still wasn't feel that well, so the Princess ventured into the line by herself. As it turned out, they were about to put on a surfing show, so we stayed and watched so she would get her turn afterwards. It was pretty cool to watch the lifeguards do tricks on the boards and try to soak everyone. The Princess did pretty well the first time and went on again later. The Prince hung out in the hot tub to keep warm, while the Princess found another friend to ride on all the double tube slides. Both of them are usually pretty fearless but I was surprised the Princess was doing every single slide.
The only really icky thing, and I think they really need to warn people about this, is that there is about a 75% chance of you losing your bottoms on the wave rider if you are male or are wearing a bikini. I saw way more ass crack than I wanted.....

I'm over it
I spent the weekend with dogs. And in case you forget, I'm allergic. I finally made it home, took a day to rest, and then took the kids to the waterpark yesterday. Today. TODAY. I woke up early, and between 8 and 10 I went through an entire box of tissues. My nose will NOT STOP RUNNING. And this isn't like, blow your nose and have a minute before doing it again. No. This is blow your nose and move the tissue away while your nose continues to run down your face. Literally. It's fucking disgusting. I have also pissed myself 4 times now during sneezes. I have given up on changing underwear, because by the time I'm done, I have to change my shirt or wipe up the carpet from the snot pouring out. I have a lovely little panty liner on to protect the couch.....
Long distance again
Mr. M has been gone for almost a month and a half now. No, he didn't leave me. He accepted a consulting position, ironically enough, at the company he left when he accepted the job in VA and moved over two years ago. When he lost his job, one of his contacts that he's worked with in the past sent out his resume to over 400 people. He received about 5 offers, all of them across the country, including Tenessee and Florida. Oddly enough, on the same day he received a call from a friend saying the guy who had replaced him just handed in his resume. Hours later he got a call the VP saying his resume had just crossed his desk. Long story short, they offered him a short contract to take the old position back until they could figure out what they wanted to do. They offered him 50% more than he was making when he left, plus they paid for his housing. They extended the contract. They want to extend again. Mr. M submitted a proposal for a contract that would allow him to be onsite one week and work from VA the next week. If they accept, we will finally have permanent dual residency, and be able to get 50/50 custody of the boys, immediately. Obviously all of our fingers are crossed, because I REALLY miss him.
It seemed innocent at first, and we were staying at a kickass old cottage. I mean, we started in a long distance relationship for goodness sake! It couldn't possibly be that hard. But it's wearing on us now. Plus with other things going on in ours lives, updates later, the times we could be together, we had to be other places. We spent Easter apart because I wanted to visit my family and my parents house isn't big enough for 6 additional people, so Mr. M and the boys spent the weekend home alone. We all needed the time, but it's still hard. I feel like I'm going to whine, so I'll close this chapter update for now.....
